Big news for Scary Movie fans as two franchise alumni have agreed to return to the fold. Cheri Oteri and Chris Elliott who played Gail Hailstorm and Hanson, respectively, will reunite with Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Regina Hall, Anna Faris, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, and Jon Abrahams. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans for the sixth entry in the franchise, according to a report on Deadline.
It was also announced today that Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl), Kim Wayans (In Living Color), and Heidi Gardner have joined the cast.
Directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and released in 2000, Scary Movie starred Anna Faris, Marlon Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Carmen Electra, Dave Sheridan, Shawn Wayans, Frank B. Moore, Regina Hall, Shannon Elizabeth, Lochlyn Munro, and Cheri Oteri. The film was produced on a $19 million budget and earned $278 million at the box office. The film spawned four more sequels, each adding to the hilarity of the series.
