Ash is about to kick cancer’s ass.
Horror icon Bruce Campbell took to Twitter last night to let fans know that he’s been diagnosed with cancer. The Evil Dead legend stated that “It’s a type of cancer that’s “treatable” not “curable.”” The original post can be seen below.

Toward the end of his message, Campbell displayed his trademark grit, assuring fans, “Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while.”
The actor shared that he aims to be back on his feet by summer so he can hit the road this fall to promote his comedy Ernie & Emma, which he wrote, directed, and stars in.
Horror fans came to love Campbell for his portrayal of Ash Williams in The Evil Dead (1981), directed by Sam Raimi. He reprised the role in Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, turning Ash into one of horror’s most iconic and quotable heroes. Decades later, he returned to the character in the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead (2015–2018).
The team at Horror News Network sends Bruce our best wishes for a fast and full recovery.
