We have sad news to pass along as we have learned that Paula Shaw has passed away at the age of 84. She portrayed Pamela Voorhees in the Freddy vs. Jason movie.
The Max, a personal development workshop where Shaw taught for more than 30 years, announced her passing. The statement read “It is with heavy hearts that we announce Paula passed away peacefully on Wednesday Sept. 10, 2025 morning at 9:00 am. Paula touched countless lives through The MAX, the Mastery, and her transformational work. Her legacy lives on in the communities she created and the lives she changed.”
In addition to her work in Freddy vs. Jason, Shaw has appeared in The Bob Newhart Show, The Centerfold Girls, Chatterbox, Three’s Company, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Witchfire, The X_Files, Reindeer Games, Insomnia, Chupacabra Terror, Mr. Young, Cedar Cove, Some Assembly Required, and Five Star Christmas.
