More actors are set to enter The Backrooms.
Mark Duplass (Creep, The Morning Show), Finn Bennett (True Detective), Lukita Maxwell (Shrinking) and Avan Jogia (56 Days) have joined the cast of The Backrooms, according to a report on Variety.
The newcomers will join Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange, 12 Years a Slave) and Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World) who were previously announced.
While the official synopsis of the film has yet to be revealed, The Backrooms hails from filmmaker Kane Parsons. The filmmaker gained fame on YouTube with his channel Kane Pixels, which features his short films based on The Backrooms, and animations based on Attack on Titan. His channel currently has over 2 million subscribers.
A24 and Chernin Entertainment serve as co-studios on the film. The screenplay was written by Will Soodik, with casting by Wittney Horton.
