Longlegs has surpassed Parasite as Neon’s highest grossing film ever, according to a report on Deadline. In addition, the pic is the highest grossing indie horror film of the last ten years.
As of July 28, 2024, Longlegs has grossed $58.6 million in the United States and Canada, and $10.6 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $69.3 million.
The official synopsis of the film reads “FBI Agent Lee Harker is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes an unexpected turn, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.”
Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, Longlegs starred Maika Monroe, Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt and Nicolas Cage.
