Jessica Chastain seems to be back in the horror genre as the Oscar winner has signed on to star in the latest film from director Rob Savage, according to a report on Deadline.
Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are producing in association with Spin a Black Yarn for Universal Pictures.
Nathan Elston (Succession) will write the script, which is based on the novel Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman.
Incidents Around the House follows 8-year-old Bela as she grapples with a malevolent entity she calls “Other Mommy” who visits her from a closet. Other Mommy repeatedly asks Bela if she can “go inside her heart,” and Bela’s denial leads to escalating incidents that threaten her family.
