Jamie Lee Curtis Officiates Wedding Of Dying ‘Halloween’ Fan

by Rob Caprilozzi

Anthony Woodle had his dying wish fulfilled courtesy of Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green. The 29-year-old, who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2019, was a massive fan of the Halloween franchise. Woodle was connected with Jamie Lee Curtis and the two discussed the Halloween films, his battle with cancer, and his plans to marry his longtime girlfriend, according to a report on Deadline. After hearing his story Curtis, an ordained minister, offered to officiate his wedding, and like any reasonable Halloween fan, Woodle gladly accepted.

David Gordon Green also arranged for Woodle to watch the upcoming Halloween Kills movie in full.

As the wedding day arrived Woodle’s health took a turn for the worse. With his family huddled around his bed and his future bride by his side, Curtis began the ceremony at 10:30 PM.

“Anthony and Emilee, all anyone is promised is this moment,” Curtis said. “We live and we love in this moment. May the blessings of God rest upon you, may his peace abide with you, may her spirit illuminate your heart now, in this moment. With the power vested in me by the internet, it is my great pleasure to tell you that you are now married people.”

At 11:17 PM Anthony Woodle succumbed to esophageal cancer.

We here at Horror News Network send our condolences to Woodle’s friends and family.
