Sonia Mena, Chase Yi and Maya Da Costa have signed on to lead the next installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise, according to reports on Deadline.
The film plot remains shrouded in secrecy as character details still under wraps. Word has it that Paramount Pictures and Blumhouse Atomic Monster plan to push the project forward as a top priority.
Mena is known for her work in Tell Me Lies and The Deuce. Yi is noted for his work in Mythic Quest and A Model Family. Da Costa is regarded for her work on Girls Like Girls and Under the Bridge.
Oren Peli (originator of the franchise) will produce for Solana Films, with James Wan and Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Michael Clear and Judson Scott will exec produce for Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
The original Paranormal Activity film was released on September 25, 2009 and absolutely crushed it at the box office earning a massive $194.2 million against a budget of less than $500k.
