CT HorrorFest Kicked off its 11th Year with Stamford Convention

by Rob Caprilozzi

The eleventh year of CT HorrorFest kicked off in Stamford, CT this weekend. Thousands of horror fans from all over the tri-state area (and farther) descended upon the Hilton Stamford Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Stamford, CT to meet celebrities and shop horror-themed vendors.

Guests included David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown), and his cast mates from the Terrifier series including Lauren LaVera (Sienna), Elliott Fullam (Jonathan), and Samantha Scaffidi (Victoria). Other guests included James Jude Courtney (Michael Myers from Halloween 2018, 2021, 2022), Felissa Rose (Angela from Sleepaway Camp), Lee Waddell (the original Ghostface from Scream), Warrington Gillette (Jason from Friday the 13th Part 2) and his fellow cast members Amy Steel (Ginny) and John Furey (Paul). Also appearing were Richard Brake (3 From Hell), Jeffrey Daniel Phillips (The Munsters) and Pancho Moler (31) and Denise Galik (Humanoids from the Deep).

In addition to celebrities and vendors, the event featured Q&A panels with some of the celebrities. Fans sat in the crowd and watched moderators from the CT HorrorFest team ask questions about the horror films they’ve appeared in before kicking it over to the fans and letting them get answers to their burning questions.

Panels included “An Evening with Felissa Rose”, “A Night of Devilish Delights with Richard Brake, Jeff Daniel Phillips, and Pancho Moler of 31 and 3 from Hell”, “Return to the Packanack Lodge with the Cast of Friday the 13th Part 2”, “Unmasking Ghostface and The Shape with James Jude Courtney & Lee Waddell”, and finally, “A Terrifying Encounter with the Cast of Terrifier”.

In addition to the panels the show also featured a kids and adults costume contest.

We will see you in Hartford in September! Until then, check out our panels and photos from the event below.
