‘Scream’ Alum Hayden Panettiere Dies at Age 36

We’re saddened to share the news that Scream alum Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36, according to a report on ABC News.

EMS personnel were dispatched to a Greenville, South Carolina, residence following a 911 call on Sunday, where they found Panettiere in cardiac arrest.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden,” her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement to ABC News on Sunday. “She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”

In addition to her work on the Scream franchise, Hayden also starred in Heroes, and Nashville. The latter earned her two nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film.
