Fresh off the Season 3 finale, the cast and creators of The Vampire Lestat arrived in San Diego for a victory lap and some announcements for Season 4. In an upgrade of rooms to the massive Hall H, the room of 6,500 was full of fans ready for more news. Starting with a highlight reel from Lestat’s New York concert, which airs on AMC+ on Aug 23, 2026, fans enjoyed highlights of the show with several songs shown. This may have been a bit of a consolation as series star Sam Reid was not in attendance. Panel guests included executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch and castmates Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Sheila Atim. The audience enjoyed hearing about the previous season; however the breaking news out of the panel was when a highlight reel began but then turned into an announcement for Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned.
