The sequel to the 2015 horror film It Follows, They Follow, is beginning to gain momentum as creator David Robert Mitchell announced new cast that will join the returning Maika Monroe. Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Justine Lupe (Succession), Anna Mirodin (Ivan), Jayne Taini (Unbelievable), Michael Gandolfini (Daredevil: Born Again), Tom Pecinka (Stereophonic), Melora Walters (Magnolia), Ben Krieger (Song Sung Blue), Natalie Shinnick (The Brutalist) and Jan Hoag (The Fabelmans) have all signed on the dotted line to be a part of the sequel, according to a report on Deadline.
A few weeks back, Naomi Ackie (Blink Twice, Clayface) officially completed a deal where she will co-star.
While plot details remain unavailable, the sequel is set to take place a decade after the first film.
It Follows, which was written and directed by Mitchell, stars Monroe as a young woman who is pursued by a supernatural entity after a sexual encounter.
After a profitable limited release, It Follows enjoyed a wide release, raking in more than $23 million worldwide against a $1.3-million budget.
