It’s the beginning of the end for Halloween.
Halloween Ends–reportedly the final chapter in the long struggle between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers–will start shouting in Georgia later this month, according to a report on JoBlo.com, and a new character will join what is sure to be a bloody conclusion.
Michael O’Leary–perhaps best known for playing Dr. Rick Bauer on the popular soap opera Guiding Light–reportedly will play Dr. Mathis, a character that was briefly mentioned in the last year’s Halloween Kills. It is not known at this time what role Mathis will play in the upcoming film.
O’Leary’s other small screen credits include roles on Law & Order: Organized Crime, FBI, New Amsterdam, The Bay and Steamboat.
The rest of the cast of Halloween Ends includes Jamie Lee Curtis as Strode, Andi Matichak as her granddaughter Allyson, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as Myers.
Halloween Ends–scheduled to land in theaters Oct. 14–is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier.
Green has said this film will take place four years after Halloween Kills, adding it is “a coming-of-age film” with a “very different tone. The three chapters I’ve been involved with are very different from each other.”
