Blumhouse’s Upcoming ‘Wolf Man’ Feature Inks Female Lead

When’s the next full moon?

Wolf Man–the latest incarnation of the iconic Universal Monster–is aiming for a Halloween release window, and now the film has its female lead, according to a report on Deadline.

The Blumhouse Productions feature–directed by Leigh Whannell from a screenplay he wrote with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Shuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo–this week signed Julia Garner (Ozark) to ream up with Christopher Abbott (Poor Things).

The horror pic–set for an Oct. 25 theatrical release–follows a family “being terrorized by a lethal predator.” Hopefully, more extensive plot details will fill in the obvious blanks.

Jason Blum serves as producer–with Ryan Gosling (who had originally been penciled in as lead), Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira and Mel Turner acting as executive producers.
