Dylan Clark is set to helm a new imagining of The Blair Witch Project for Lionsgate, according to a report on Variety.
They are also reporting that the original stars of the film Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams are on board as executive producers. At the time of this report there was no word on Heather Donahue’s involvement. Also on board from the 1999 production are Eduardo Sánchez, Daniel Myrick and Gregg Hale who will also serve as executive producers on the film.
Atomic Monster’s James Wan and Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will team with producer Roy Lee to produce the new film.
Directed by Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick, the film starred Heather Donahue, Michael Williams, and Joshua Leonard. The project earned $248.6 million at the box office against a budget that was under $750k.
