Make sure you have enough room for Aunt Gladys.
Near the end of its inaugural week at the box office, Weapons has reached a major global milestone. The film, which was released on August 8th, has just surpassed $100 million at the box office, according to a report on The Numbers.
The official synopsis of the film reads “When all but one child from the same classroom mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.”
Directed by Zach Cregger, Weapons stars Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan.
Because of the films’ early success, a prequel is already being talked about. At this point there’s no word on the synopsis of the film or who might be involved.
