‘The Walking Dead’ Extended Season 10 Returns In 2021

The Walking Dead just keeps on walking–straight into next year and its extended tenth season on AMC Networks.

The first of the six new Season 10 episodes will air Feb. 28, 2021, as reported by Deadline, as the survivors of The Whisperer War struggle to get on with their lives.

And those survivors will muddle on with new cast members in the continuing season.

Robert Patrick recently signed on to play Mays, while Okea Eme-Akwari will portray Elijah. They join previously announced newcomer Hilarie Burton Morgan, who will play Negan’s wife Lucille.

In these new episodes, as explained, the survivors will question “the state of humanity, the state of their collective community and the states of their minds.” Here are some details of these fateful episodes:

Episode 1017Home Sweet Home (directed by David Boyd and written by Kevin Deiboldt and Corey Reed)–Maggie has a story she is not ready to share, Negan’s safety is at stake and Daryl and Maggie fight an unknown threat.

Episode 1018Find Me (directed by David Boyd and written by Nicole Mirante-Matthews)–An adventure for Daryl and Carol leads them to an old cabin.

Episode 1019One More (directed by Laura Belsey and written by Erik Mountain and Jim Barnes)–Gabriel and Aaron search for food and supplies, as small tragedies lead to bigger tragedies.

Episode 1020Splinter (directed by Laura Belsey and written by Julia Ruchman and Vivian Tse)–Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess are captured and separated.

Episode 1021Diverged (directed by David Boyd and written by Heather Bellson)–Daryl and Carol head their separate ways–is the distance between them permanent?

Episode 1022Here’s Negan (directed by Laura Belsey and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick)–Carol takes Negan on a journey, and Negan comes to a conclusion about his future.

The Walking Dead–based on the Image Comics series created by Robert Kirkman–is led by showrunner Angela Kang and executive producer/chief content officer Scott M. Gimple. The Walking Dead universe also includes Fear The Walking DeadThe Walking Dead: World Beyond and a feature film being produced by Universal Pictures, Skybound Entertainment and AMC.
