‘Stinetinglers’ Animated Series In the Works

by Rob Caprilozzi

R.L. Stine’s Stinetinglers is being developed as an animated series, with Ontario-based Limestone Animation — a newly launched animation and digital studio — leading the adaptation of the author’s horror anthology, according to a report on Deadline. The project marks the first time one of Stine’s works has been reimagined in animated form.

Stinetinglers is Stine’s newest horror series for younger readers. Each one of the anthology stories are preceded by an introduction from the author himself.

“Animation is the perfect medium to tell the twisted tales of Stinetinglers,” said R.L. Stine. “These spooky stories will be brought to life in a way unlike any of my work before. But more than that, I was blown away by the unique spin the team at Limestone Animation proposed and I immediately knew they were the right partners to bring to screen my newest stories.”

In a joint statement, Limestone’s Connolly and MacIntyre said: “We’re honored that R.L. Stine has trusted us with his latest book series. Stinetinglers is the perfect project to launch our studio with because it represents everything we want Limestone Animation to be; the home of creative storytelling that is bold, imaginative, and designed to bring audiences of all ages together.”
