No debut date has yet been announced for the last season, but creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer say they’re heading toward the finish line with the goal to “stick the landing.”
Show veterans Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Galen Matazarro, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton will be joined in Season 5 by genre veteran Linda Hamilton (the Terminator franchise, Beauty and the Beast). In addition, Dan Trachtenberg (Prey) is on board to direct one episode.
Stranger Things–which debuted on Netflix in 2016–is set in the 1980s, and follows the residents of Hawkins, Ind. as they struggle against a hostile alien dimension known as the Upside Down.
