How far can you go?
Lionsgate has revealed the official trailer for their upcoming feature, The Long Walk. The preview, which can be seen below, shows what can happen to those that can’t make the long walk.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick, Josh Hamilton, with Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill.
The official synopsis of the film reads “From the highly anticipated adaptation of master storyteller Stephen King’s first-written novel, and Francis Lawrence, the visionary director of The Hunger Games franchise films (Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Pts. 1 & 2 , and The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), comes The Long Walk, an intense, chilling, and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?”
The film is based on the book written by Stephen King (under the pseudonym Richard Bachman) which was published on July 3, 1979, Set in a dystopian alternative version of the United States, ruled by a totalitarian regime, the plot follows the contestants of a grueling annual walking contest.
