The sequel to the 2016 Marvel hit–headed to theaters May 6–has a slew of “jump scare moments,” according to Elizabeth Olsen (who plays the Scarlet Witch in the film), and this clip sure qualifies as one of them.
The film–helmed by Raimi (of The Evil Dead fame) from a screenplay by Michael Waldron (Loki)–also stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Xochitl Gomez and Michael Stuhlbarg.
The storyline follows Strange as his magic spells open the door to “a mysterious madness called the Multiverse,” according to the synopsis. The sorcerer then enlists the aid of Wong and the Scarlet Witch to overcome “a terrible threat that looms over humanity and the entire universe.”
The Marvel Comics character of Dr. Stephen Strange–created by writer/editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko–debuted in Strange Tales No. 110 back in 1963.
