New Cast Member Signs On For Season 2 Of ‘The Last Of Us’

Another victim or a savior?

The new year has seen several new cast members join the HBO hit horror series The Last of Us for its second season, and now one more actor is in the fold for the upcoming ride, according to a report on Deadline.

Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice) has been cast in an undisclosed role, and will join the previously announced Isabela Merced, Kaitlyn Dever and Young Mazino–along with stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

The show–led  by showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann–is expected to start shooting Season 2 later this month, aiming for a debut on HBO sometime in 2025

In the show’s first season–set in a post-apocalyptic world–the Cordyceps fungus has transformed people into zombie-like monsters. In this nightmarish landscape, Joel (Pascal) is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie (Ramsey) out of a quarantine zone. With monsters dogging their every step.
