Nature is unforgiving.
In a Violent Nature–a new slasher produced under the Shudder Original banner–will bow at Sundance next Monday, Jan. 22 before its wide release sometime later this year, according to a report on Variety. Paris-based sales house Charades has the international sales rights.

The film–the feature debut for writer/director Chris Nash–stars Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone and Charlotte Creaghan.
In the horror pic, when a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that hides the rotting corpse of Johnny, “a vengeful spirit spurred on a by a horrific 6-year-old crime, his body is resurrected and is hellbent on retrieving the locket.”
The undead creature finds the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and “proceeds to slaughter them one by one in its mission to get the locket back–along with anyone who gets in its way.”
