It’s officially Halloween in Fortnite. This year, Fortnitemares transforms the island into a horrific nightmare ruled by Doja Cat. A preview trailer, which can be seen below, shows horror icons including Jason Voorhees, Ghostface in addition to the Scooby gang.
Other confirmed for the event are Wednesday Addams, The Grabber (from Black Phone fame), and Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise. These characters will be available throughout the spooky month of October.
Released on July 25, 2017, Fornite is a cooperative shooter-survival game for up to four players to fight off zombie-like husks, defend objects with fortifications you can build, and a battle royale mode where up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing.
The game has over 650 million registered players globally as of 2025.
