‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ Drops Chilly, Eerie Trailer

“Head’s up. Tall, dark and horny at 12 o’clock.”

A new trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire–the latest installment in the classic horror-comedy franchise–arrived this week to preview its springtime release. Check out the video on this page.

The new flick–directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he wrote with producer Jason Reitman–hits theaters March 29.

This bustin’ entry continues the spooky adventures of Egon Spengler’s daughter Callie (Carrie Coon) and grandchildren Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), as “the hottest New York City on record is experiencing a death chill after an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force.”

So, in order to thaw out the Big Apple, the Spenglers team up with the original Ghostbusters–Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stanz (Dan Aykroyd) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson). Along for the icy ride are Patton Oswald, Kumail Nanjiani and Paul Rudd.

The original 1984 Ghostbusters–directed by Ivan Reitman from a screenplay by Aykroyd and Harold Ramis–scared up a cool $300 million at the global box office.
