Looks like they’re ready to bust ’em some ghosts.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire–the upcoming entry in the classic horror-comedy franchise–is aiming for a spring 2024 debut, and a new image that spotlights Bill Murray’s Peter Venkman character in the familiar firehouse has dropped. Check out the photo–courtesy of Empire Online–on this page.

The new film–slated for a March 29, 2024 theatrical release–is directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he wrote with producer Jason Reitman.
Frozen Empire continues the story of Egon Spengler’s kin–daughter Callie (Carrie Coon) and two grandchildren, Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trever (Finn Wolfhard)–as “the hottest New York City on record is experiencing a death chill after an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force.”
Now, it’s up to the Spenglers to team up with the original Ghostbusters–Venkman, Ray Stanz (Dan Aykroyd) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson)–to thaw out the Big Apple. Also on hand for the icy antics are Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani and Paul Rudd.
The original 1984 Ghostbusters–directed by Ivan Reitman from a screenplay by Aykroyd and Harold Ramis–was a box office sensation, raking in nearly $300 million worldwide.
