Ray Bronson is back. After months of negotiations, Freddie Prinze Jr has officially joined Sony‘s I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel film, according to a report on Deadline.
Released on October 17, 1997, I Know What You Did Last Summer follows four friends bound by a tragic accident that are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town.
The film was directed by Jim Gillespie and featured Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Freddie Prinze Jr., Johnny Galecki, Bridgette Wilson, Anne Heche and Muse Watson. The pic earned $125.3 million at the box office against a budget of only $17 million. With its success, the film turned into a franchise launching two sequels and a television adaptation.
