Corey Parker Passes Away at Age 60

by Thomas Tuna

We have sad news to pass along today as actor Corey Parker has passed away at the age of 60 following a cancer diagnosis, according to a report on TMZ. Horror fans will fondly remember Parker for his portrayal of Pete Linley in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.

In the film, Pete is traveling with his friend Vinnie when their car breaks down late at night. Unfortunately for them, they cross paths with Roy Burns, who quickly kills them both. Hiding in the backseat, Roy slashes Pete’s throat with a machete, and Pete collapses forward onto the car’s horn, dead.

He further cemented his legacy with fans by appearing as himself in the documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th.

Perhaps best known for his time on Will & Grace, Parker also had long stints on Love Boat: The Next Wave, Blue Skies, Flying Blind, Eddie Dodd, and Thirtysomething.

The team at Horror News Network send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Parker.
