It’s almost Ed Gein’s time to shine at Netflix. Ryan Murphy has announced that Charlie Hunnam will play Ed Gein in the third cycle of the Netflix anthology series Monster, according to a report on The Hollywood Reporter.
Hunnam, who is best known for his work on Sons of Anarchy will step into the role of the serial killer who was known as the Butcher of Plainfield and the Plainfield Ghoul.
Gein, who only confessed to committing two murders, is suspected by authorities of several others. In addition to the murders, Gein would dig up graves of the deceased and steal body parts, which he would used to furnish his home.
Before we see Gein’s story, another set of monsters is up first. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is set to arrive on Netflix on September 19th.
