‘Beetlejuice’ Sequel Gets Title, Releases Splashy Poster

It’s so nice, let’s name it twice.

The much-anticipated Warner Bros. sequel to the 1988 horror-comedy hit Beetlejuice is heading to theaters this fall, and now it has an official title, according to a report on Deadline. Check out the poster on this page that announces Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 A.D.

The film–which recently wrapped shooting in London–will land on the big screen Sept. 6, with Tim Burton at the helm, working from a screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

The cast finds Michael Keaton reprising his lead role–along with Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci.

In the original Beetlejuice–directed by Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell, Larry Wilson and Warren Skaaren–a recently deceased couple, acting as ghosts haunting their former home, hire a “bio-exorcist” named Beetlejuice from the Netherworld to scare away the house’s new inhabitants.
