Horror is Well Represented with 2026 Golden Globe Nominations

The official nominations for the 2026 Golden Globes have been announced, and horror is heavily represented. With multiple nominations each, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein are poised to face off in the Best Picture – Drama category.

Other standout nominations include Michael B. Jordan for Sinners and Oscar Isaac for Frankenstein in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) category.

The Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama category is strong for genre contenders, with nominations for Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us, Britt Lower in the genre-bending Severance, and Rhea Seehorn in Pluribus.

Let’s not forget cultural icon Jenna Ortega in Wednesday who has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy category.
