Linda Cardellini Will Play Pamela Voorhees in ‘Crystal Lake’

She’s back in a big way.

Crystal Lake, the Friday the 13th prequel series has found its Pamela Voorhees. Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, Scooby-Doo) has closed a deal to star as everyone’s favorite horror mom in Peacock‘s Crystal Lake from A24, according to a report on Deadline.

As everyone knows, Pamela Voorhees was expertly played by Betsy Palmer and served as the antagonist of the original  Friday the 13th film back in 1980.

Cardellini is known to horror fans for her portrayal of Velma Dinkley in the live action films Scooby-Doo (2002) and its sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). She also appeared as Genevieve in Strangeland from Dee Snider, and Anna in The Curse of La Llorona.

Cardellini has also appeared in Legally Blonde, Brokeback Mountain, Kill the Irishman, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Founder, Avengers: Endgame, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
