Somewhere Blade is shedding a tear for his friend Whistler.
We have extremely sad news to pass along today as we have learned that Kris Kristofferson has passed away at the age of 88. Kristofferson was surrounded by family in his home in Maui, Hawaii as he passed. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, eight children and seven grandchildren.
Kristofferson starred opposite Barbra Streisand in the 1976 A Star Is Born. He also starred in Blade, Blade II, Flashpoint, Big Top Pee-wee, Millennium, Payback, and Deadfall.
Kristofferson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004, garnering a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2014.
