Sharpen those blades.

The fourth season of the hit Netflix horror-fantasy series The Witcher this week landed a major genre star for a key role, according to a report on Deadline.

Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne (the John Wick franchise) will play Regis, a popular character introduced in The Witcher novel Baptism of Fire. Regis is described as “a world-wise barber-surgeon who joins Geralt on his journey.”

As previously reported, Liam Hemsworth will take over the Geralt role from the departing Henry Cavill for Season 4. Returning for the upcoming adventures are series regulars Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey.

The new season will pick up from the events of Season 3, and follow Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri as they travel across the war-ravaged Continent with its many demons–apart from each other. If they can lead the groups of misfits they find themselves with, “they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire–and finding one another again.”
