One more enters the breach.
The much-anticipated FX Alien TV series–based on the 1979 horror-s/f classic–is expected to resume production later this month in Thailand for a reported 2025 debut, and a new cast member joined the ensemble this week, according to a report on Deadline.
Moe Bar-El (The Peripheral) will play an undisclosed, but “major recurring”, role in Season 1 of the series led by showrunner Noah Hawley.
Bar-El joins the show’s two leads–Sydney Chandler as the meta-human Wendy and Timothy Olyphant as Kirsch, a synthetic with an adult body and the consciousness of a child who acts as mentor and trainer for Wendy.
The cast also includes Alex Lawther as soldier CJ, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gouray as Slightly, Kit Young as Tootles and David Rysdahl in an undisclosed role.
The new series will diverge from the iconic Alien storyline–taking place on Earth about 70 years in our future. No specific plot details have yet been revealed.
