‘The Institute’ Gets Premiere Date and New Images

MGM+ has revealed some new images and given a premiere date July 13th  for their upcoming series The Institute, according to a report on Deadline. The series, which is based on the 2019 novel by Stephen King, recently had its first episode shown at SWSX.

The synopsis of the series reads: “Teen genius Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman) wakes up in a strange place full of children who got there the same way he did, and who all, like him, possess unusual abilities. That is The Institute, ran by the mysterious Ms Sigsby (Mary-Louise Parker). In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Ben Barnes) has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide.”

Directed by Jack Bender, The Institute stars Ben Barnes as Tim Jamieson, Mary-Louise Parker as Ms Sigsby, Simone Miller as Kalisha, Jason Diaz as Tony, Brendan Beiser as Norbert Hollister, Joe Freeman as Luke Ellis, Fionn Laird as Nick, Hannah Galway as Wendy, Jordan Alexander as Kate, Martin Roach as Chief Ashworth, Mary Walsh as Annie, Robert Joy as Hendricks, Viggo Hanvelt as Avery, Julian Richings as Stackhouse, Dan Beirne as Drew, Arlen So as George, Birva Pandya as Iris, and Jane Luk as Maureen.
