Vengeance is on his mind.
The reboot of the 1994 cult horror classic The Crow now has a theatrical release date, according to a report on Deadline, and it’s only a few months away.
The reimagined feature–hitting the big screen June 7–is directed by Rupert Sanders from a screenplay by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider. The cast includes Bill Skarsgard, SKA Twigs, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouailla and Jordan Bolger.
In the remake, Eric Draven (Skarsgard) and Shelly Webster (FKA Twigs) “are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them.”
Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Draven “sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers–traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put wrong things right.”
The original The Crow was adapted from the 1980s comic book series by James O’Barr and–of course–was forever marred by the death of star Brandon Lee.
