Smiles are contagious.
Smile–the Paramount Pictures 2022 horror hit–is moving ahead with a sequel, and this week a new cast member signed on for the new chapter, according to a report on Deadline.
Dylan Gelula (Dream Scenario) joins the previously announced Kyle Gallner (reprising his role as Joel), Rosemarie DeWitt, Naomi Scott and Lukas Gage in the sequel that’s expected to hit the big screen Oct. 18.
No plot details or production schedules have yet been announced, but Parker Finn will return as writer and director, with Temple Hill serving as producer.
The original Smile tells the bizarre story of Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon), who suffers through terrifying experiences she can’t explain after she witnesses a traumatic incident involving a patient. Adding to the horror, Cotter comes face-to-face with “her troubling past in order to survive and escape from her frightening new reality.”
