Sarah Paulson is set to reunite with Ryan Murphy in the upcoming season of Monster, according to a report on Variety. While season 4 of Monster will focus on Lizzie Borden, Paulson will be playing Aileen Wuornos.
With Sarah Paulson joining the next season of Monster as Aileen Wuornos, it’ll likely follow a similar approach to Monster: Ed Gein, exploring how her crimes influenced or impacted future killers.
Wuornos was convicted of six murders and executed in 2002, following more than ten years on death row in Florida.
Monster: Lizzie Borden will star Ella Beatty as Lizzie Borden, Charlie Hunnam as Andrew Borden, Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread, Monster: The Ed Gein Story) as the Bordens’ live-in maid, Bridget Sullivan, and Rebecca Hall (Christine, Passing) as Lizzie’s stepmother, Abby Borden. Billie Lourd (American Horror Story, The Last Showgirl) will play Lizzie’s older sister Emma, while Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World, Dune: Prophecy) will play Lizzie’s actress friend Nance O’Neill.
