It looks as if the vampires will have to take another direction to get to you.
According to a report on Deadline, New Line’s feature Salem’s Lot will not be hitting theaters, instead, the film will be streaming on Max (formerly HBO Max). While there is no exact date, the streamer says it will be later this year.
At least we seem to have some type of answer to the question that many have been asking, including Stephen King, as he took to X last month in a post that can be seen below.
Between you and me, Twitter, I've seen the new SALEM'S LOT and it's quite good. Old-school horror filmmaking: slow build, big payoff. Not sure why WB is holding it back; not like it's embarrassing, or anything. Who knows. I just write the fucking things.

Salem’s Lot stars Lewis Pullman as Ben Mears alongside Alfre Woodard as Dr. Cody, Makenzie Leigh as Susan Norton, Bill Camp as Matthew Burke, Spencer Treat Clark as Mike Ryerson, Pilou Asbæk as Straker, and John Benjamin Hickey as Father Callahan.
The synopsis, according to New Line is: Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.
