‘Predator: Badlands’ Team Hopeful For Schwarzenegger’s ‘Predator’ Return

At Monday’s premiere of Predator: Badlands, Dan Trachtenberg discussed how the film continues to blend the worlds of the franchises ahead of its Nov. 7 theatrical release, while also highlighting how it sets itself apart from earlier AvP crossovers, according to a report on Deadline.

Badlands itself is definitely a crossover in that we have the Weyland-Yutani corporation as a huge part of the movie,” said Trachtenberg. “Elle Fanning plays a Weyland-Yutani synth.”

Predator Badlands is set to debut this Friday, November 7th in theaters nationwide. The official synopsis of the film reads “Cast out from its clan, an alien hunter and an unlikely ally embark on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.”

Producer Ben Rosenblatt went on to share that Dan Trachtenberg has met with Arnold Schwarzenegger a few times now about potentially reprising his role in the series stating that “Obviously, the holy grail of Predator movies would be getting Arnold back in there.”

“So, he’s been really wonderful. Arnold and Dan have met a couple of times now. He’s been really interested in what we’re doing, he’s a real fan of what we’ve done so far, from what I understand. And we’re really excited. After Predator: Badlands comes out, we’ll see and have more conversations. Hopefully, we’ll have a chance to do something with Arnold, because that would be awesome,” added Rosenblatt.
