Prepare for more motor carnage as Peacock has just renewed Twisted Metal for a third season and has announced that David Reed has taken over as showrunner, according to a report on Deadline.
There is no official premiere date for Twisted Metal Season 3 yet, but it is not expected to be released until 2027 at the earliest. The cast of the series includes Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Neve Campbell, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughns and Lou Beatty Jr. In addition, pro wrestler Samoa Joe plays Sweet Tooth–with Will Arnett voicing the character.
The Twisted Metal game series–published by Sony Computer Entertainment–has been developed by several companies, starting with SingleTrac back in 1995. The games plot centers on the titular competition in which various drivers in modified vehicles must destroy the other vehicles in an attempt to be the last one alive.
