Dark Sky Films has revealed a new trailer for their upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre documentary, Chain Reactions. The preview, which can be seen below, features the legendary Stephen King taking about the film.
The official synopsis of the film reads “Fifty years after Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre shocked the world and forever changed the face of global cinema and popular culture, Chain Reactions charts the film’s profound impact and lasting influence.”
Directed by Alexandre O. Philippe (Lynch/Oz, Memory: The Origin of Alien) the documentary features Stephen King, Patton Oswalt, Karyn Kusama, Takashi Miike, and Alexandra Heller-Nicholas.
Released on October 11, 1974, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was directed by Tobe Hooper and starred Marilyn Burns, Paul A. Partain, Edwin Neal, Jim Siedow and Gunnar Hansen. The film would go on to secure $30.9 million at the box office against an estimated budget of $80,000-$140,000.
