Mom–a new horror feature that has been picked up by Blue Finch Films for worldwide sales–will debut at FrightFest Glasgow in March, according to a report on Variety. No general release window has been determined.

The film–the feature debut for director Adam O’Brien (horror shorts Bloodbath and Insane)–is written by Benoit Beaulieu, Albert Melamed and Philip Kalin-Hajdu.

In Mom, a struggling mother is abandoned by her family and partner after a horrific incident and, as she falls further into isolation, “she begins to be haunted by a sinister entity that is determined to make her relive her darkest moments.”

The cast is led by Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek), Francois Arnaud (Marlowe) and Christian Convery (Cocaine Bear).

Hampshire also serves as an executive producer, along with Arun Aurora, John Saunders, Julien Bigras, Niranjan Maganti and Marc Cote.
