Will this be another playmate for Venom?
Venom 3 (or whatever the official title will be) has started filming, and a new cast member joined the fray this week.
Clark Backo (The Changeling) will join star Tom Hardy and the previously announced Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple in the third entry in the Marvel/Sony Venom franchise. The movie–directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she wrote with Hardy–is slated for theaters Nov. 8.
Little is known about the third film’s storyline, but Hardy has called the movie “the last dance,” likely confirming reports that this will be the last installment in which Hardy will reprise his Eddie Brock/Venom role.
The second film in the series– 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage–follows Brock’s struggles with serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) after he becomes the host for the symbiote Carnage. A box office smash, the movie earned $500 million on a $110-million budget.
