“There’s something out there.”
Netflix dropped the official teaser for their upcoming series Below. The trailer shows strange happenings at a quaint Canadian village.
The official synopsis of the series reads “When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a small Newfoundland town, a hard-bitten fisherman and his family fight to protect their close-knit community.”
The series stars Josh Hartnett (“Calvin Penney”), Mackenzie Davis (“Fonda Howander”), Charlie Heaton (“Wade Penney”), Ruby Stokes (“Mary Penney”), Kaleb Horn (“Noah”), Rohan Campbell (“Jay Penney”), Willow Kean (“Ruth Penney”)
“I read the first two scripts so quickly, in less than an hour,” Hartnett tells Tudum. “The voice was so clear, the concept was so engaging, and the character was fantastic. I’d never read anything like it before.”
“[One of the actors] and I went off with a couple of lobsters, a pot, grabbed some water out of the sea, and he told me all these stories,” Hartnett recalls. “He had so much knowledge of the history of the island and the people; listening to him speak helped a lot.”
The series is coming to Netflix on October 8th. Keep it locked to Horror News Network for more on Below.
