Netflix has renewed Wednesday for a third season with plans for a spin-off of the series in the works, according to a report on The Hollywood Reporter. The news comes before the start of the new season of the series which arrives on Netflix on August 6th, with the second part launching on September 3rd.
Wednesday has become a cash cow for Netflix as it became the most-watched original series ever on the streamer, with more than 250 million views.
In addition to Jenna Ortega returning as Wednesday, Season 2 will also feature Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Orloff, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, Joanna Lumley as Grandma Frump, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams.
