Mezco Rolls Out New Ghostface Action Figure Around Halloween

by Thomas Tuna

‘Tis the season…for collectible slashers.

Pre-orders are now live for a new Ghostface collectible from Mezco Toys with a costume design from Fun World–meaning the figure is inspired by the Scream franchise, but not strictly based on one of the film versions. Check out images of the new figure–courtesy of Toyark--on this page.

The collectible–priced at $95 and set for release between September and November (Halloween season)–stands almost seven inches tall, with 28 points of articulation and a fabric costume.

The figure boasts multiple swappable masks, interchangeable hands, knives, a scythe, a remote control, a popcorn bowl, blood splatter effects and a display stand.

The murderous legend of Ghostface began with 1996’s Scream, the franchise starter directed by Wes Craven from a screenplay by Kevin Williamson. The horror classic–set in the small town of Woodsboro–follows high school student Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her friends, who become the targets of the serial killer known as Ghostface.
