Jinkies! It looks as if that’s the end of Velma on Max.

The streaming service Max has decided not to renew the Velma animated series after two seasons, according to a report on Deadline.

The series, which featured Mindy Kaling as the voice of Velma, was an adult animated series which had its debut on January 12, 2023.

“Over the past two seasons, Mindy [Kaling] and Charlie [Grandy] have created an incredibly fun and fresh world within the iconic whodunit franchise,” Max said in a statement. “While we won’t be moving forward with another season of the series, we thank them for their compelling coming-of-age storytelling, unrivaled clues, and hilarious hijinks.”

The 10-episode second season Velma premiered on April 25, 2024. The series recently featured a Halloween episode which aired on October 3rd.
