Elmore performed most of the physical Leatherface scenes including the chainsaw battle with Dennis Hopper, and the overall stunt portion of the infamous “chainsaw love” scene.
In addition to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Elmore also appeared in Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment, No Mercy, The Monster Squad, License to Drive, Who’s Harry Crumb?, Uncle Buck, Nothing But Trouble, Only the Lonely, Delirious, Dr. Giggles, Casino, City of Angels, Being John Malkovich, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Mr. Elmore was a frequent celebrity at horror conventions around the world and he appeared at CT HorrorFest in 2021.
We send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Elmore.
